Running Multiple Announcement Bars Simultaneously

Most stores need to communicate more than one thing - free shipping and a current promo and a trust signal. Cramming all three into one line makes the bar unreadable. The fix is multiple bars, either rotated on a timer or stacked by audience and page.

Two ways to run multiple bars

1. Slider rotation. One bar slot, multiple messages that fade or slide between each other every few seconds. Best for:

• Equal-priority messages (free shipping, returns, secure checkout).
• Stores with limited header real estate.
• Quick A/B style learning - track which slide gets the most clicks.

2. Targeted bars by audience or page. Different bars for different visitors, never shown together. Best for:

• First-time vs returning visitors (welcome discount vs loyalty offer).
• Geo-specific messages (US shipping vs EU shipping).
• Page-specific messages (collection-page urgency vs product-page trust).

How to configure rotation

1. Create your bars individually first.
2. Open Bar Slot Settings → Rotation.
3. Pick the bars to include and the rotation interval (5–8 seconds is the sweet spot).
4. Choose transition: fade is the most subtle; slide draws more attention.

How to configure targeting

1. On each bar, open the Targeting tab.
2. Add rules: country, device, page URL, customer status, UTM params.
3. Set priority - if two bars match the same visitor, the higher-priority one wins.

Sensible combinations

• Trust bar (always shown) + promo bar (active only during sale).
• Welcome bar (first-time visitors) + loyalty bar (logged-in customers).
• Free shipping bar (US) + duties-included bar (EU) + worldwide fallback.

Don't overdo it

Three rotating messages is the practical limit. Beyond that, individual messages get less than 5 seconds of attention each and CTR collapses.
